Dear Friends and Family,

About 8 years ago, Noah and Stephanie met as stage managers for a one-man show in a little store-front theater in Chicago. For the next few years, we would continue to run into each other in the tiny off-Loop theater world, working together on shows for WNEP and Blewt! among others. At some points, Noah liked Stephanie, and at other points, Stephanie liked Noah, but the time was never right.

In December of 2008, while working on a "Soiree DADA" show with WNEP Theater, things suddenly fell into place. Maybe it was Stephanie's bossy nature, or Noah's DADA makeup, but whatever it was, something finally clicked. We had our first real date on New Year's Eve, and the rest, as they say, was history.

We got together not long after Stephanie left her job to pursue teaching, and during the great economic downturn. For most of our relationship, we've been on shaky financial ground, and for that reason, one thing we've never done together was take a real vacation.

Sure, we've gone to visit our out-of-state relatives, but as much as we love them, that just isn't the same as taking a trip somewhere, just the two of us, to explore together.

This is why this trip is so important to us. We feel that it would be an amazing start to our married life together to go on an adventure like this, sharing with each other the kinds of things that are important to each of us. As we've both been on our own for so many years, we have most of the things we need to set up a household. What we'd really love to do is begin building our memories as a married couple. And memories of a trip like this, supported by our loved ones, will surely outlast any wine glasses or towels.

So thank you for supporting us! We can't wait to see you at the wedding (or earlier!).
